Take your skills to the next level with this interactive seminar designed for SVP Partners wanting to facilitate meaningful conversations and drive results. Learn more in this interactive PARTNER BOOTCAMP session, part of SVP’s professional development offerings designed just for Boulder County Partners.
About the Session:
Partners will learn more about the unique role of a facilitator, and the competencies that make for successful facilitation. Whether working on an Investee project or internal SVP Committee, these are skills all Partners require from brainstorming through decision-making.
Partners will learn how to set up an environment for safe discussion; fully engage participants; tap into collective wisdom; gain agreement; and identify steps for action towards desired goals. In addition, we will explore challenging facilitation situations, as well as how to modify your facilitation approach to best suit the needs of the group and/or achieve desired outcomes. Session objectives include:
- Understand how to structure effective agendas and prepare for successful discussions.
- Explore approaches that balance participation, address group & individual dynamics, keep discussions engaged and on track, and move conversations forward.
- Address challenges, accountability, and follow-through.

About SVP's PARTNER BOOTCAMP series:
SVP is focused on building the capacity of Boulder County’s nonprofit sector, and developing the philanthropy of its citizens. We invite current and former SVP Partners to join us for this PARTNER BOOTCAMP series, with sessions offered quarterly.
Supplementing Partner involvement in our grants process or the volunteer time Partner-consultants provide area nonprofits, these professional development sessions include topics meant to increase capacity skills, and develop philanthropic awareness among the SVP membership.
